Why didn't Syrians protest against Israeli bobming?

Janes did an article on this very subject some time ago. Several interesting things were mentioned in the report. The first is that the complex resembled nuclear facilities in place in North Korea. The second is the fact that the though the building was not yet completed, it was noticed that the roof was built first, hiding any detail of the itnerior of the building while it was under construction. Also, after the bombing, Syria did more than just clean up the rubble. The completely dismanteled the site, including digging up underground pipes that lead to the complex. They covered the whole site in dirt and flattened it. A look at the site now shows no evidence that a building was ever there. All of this suggests that the Syrians were doing something that did not want the rest of the world to see. Any noticible amount of official protest would have drawn more attention than they desired.
