Getting rid of cold sore scabs?

The sores were cause by a virus not moisture, if you don't want to scar you need to put something on your skin to soften the tissue and soothe the area. I would recommend either unheated or organic aloe or a small amount of neosporin. When the scabs are ready to come off you will know, pull them off too early and you will have some big red scars there for a while. Vitamin's A and C help heal skin so look for a cream or serum with that in it to help heal the skin and prevent scarring.
