Will a position in QA with a game company help me further my career in software development?

I say that taking the job is going to be trial and error. It may or may not help further your career because you probably don't even know what you will end up doing. As for right now, you might think about keeping your degree your priority, and working on stuff that keeps your time management efficient, and keeps you fed... once you have the degree, you will find that you could qualify for jobs like the gaming one for a much higher pay... or, you might even want to further your education even MORE so that your income increases even more.... worth more thought, i think....
