If the Garden of Eden was near Kansas City (as Mormons claim), would fig leaves suffice in February?

It would take a lot of leaves to make it through February in Missouri! Seriously, though, Independence Missouri has a lot of interesting history. Harry S. Truman was raised there and there is a museum all about him. Lewis and Clark made a brief visit there on their journey. Joseph Smith did go there and now the Mormons have huge temple where he was. Smith also believed it will be the site of a second Jerusalem and the coming of Jesus. I guess Jackson County Missouri must have impressed him if he thinks the human race began and will end there.
