How do you change the dashboard lights that illuminate the speedometer/tachometer/etc on a 2003 Mazda B3000DS?

I have heard that you cant, its a circuit board to be replaced, and I have also heard that you can, but you have to take out the entire dashboard. Can someone please help!??!?!?!
